Using Nanotechnology in our Classic Range of Products

Millers Oils have launched Classic High Performance 20w50 NT utilising Nanodrive Technology in their Classic range of products.

The fully synthetic, low friction engine oil has been developed especially for high-performance, classic vehicles providing better wear protection and increased efficiency over traditional oils.  Millers Oils has also launched its new support service offering classic car owners advice on the oil requirements for their specific vehicles.

Reduced ZDDP additive levels work alongside Millers Oils’ proven nanotechnology package, providing both an exceptionally low friction engine oil and excellent oil film durability. This gives the dual benefit of improved friction through both the nanotechnology and the reduction of ZDDP.  For example, Millers Oils’ conventional CFS 10w60 has 1,200 ZDDP parts per million, whereas its CFS 10w60 NT has 1,000 ppm.  However, the Nanodrive technology still offers exceptional anti-wear protection for older engines, something increasingly absent from modern oils.

The 20w50NT oil utilises nanotechnology in order to reduce overall running costs and extend component life by reducing friction by up to 63%, which in turn provides a reduction in wear by up to 38% compared to other synthetic oils of the same grade. These benefits all add up to enable classic owners to get the most out of their car, while also protecting their engine. The recent restructure of the Millers Oils classic range includes favourable price adjustments, allowing enthusiasts to get the best lubricants at an affordable price, further reducing overall running costs.

“As a classic car owner and enthusiast, it’s wonderful to watch interest in classics grow so strongly, but I’m passionate that cars are used as their makers intended, while still maintaining their value,” says Nevil Hall, Joint Managing Director, Millers Oils.  “When investing heavily in a classic car, why wouldn’t you use the most advanced oil to maintain it? By developing and producing innovative oils for the classic market, we aim to enable owners to protect their investments, while at the same time enjoying them to the fullest extent.”
